Finished chapters are solid rust; places still in preparation sit dimmed behind them — the whole ambition on one plate. Where points crowd together they gather into a numbered mark; zoom in and they separate. Click any finished point and its chapter PDF downloads straight away.
Each finished chapter is a complete Unhurried Traveler chapter — where to stay, what a month costs, the second-tier museums, food from local writers, and a plain verdict: go, either way, or not yet. The PDF behind each point is the chapter exactly as it sits in the bound volumes.
Every dimmed point already holds a full research brief. It is a promise with paperwork behind it, not a wish. As chapters finish, their points light up — the map is the production ledger, drawn.
The map is set in the Natural Earth projection — the print atlases' compromise, with the poles eased rather than stretched — and carries country borders only: no streets, no terrain, no labels. Land and water are kept in separate tones, on paper or after dark.
